Online Video Library on Atmospheric
Electricity
Thunder and Lightening are the two things which are probably the best associated with
atmospheric electricity, but it would probably surprise people to learn that the whole of the Earth’s surface is a
huge conductor for electricity, this is to do with the presence of free electrons and negative and positive ions.
There are three main factors which cause atmospheric electricity these are thunderstorms, ionospheric wind and
magnetosphere.
Static electricity is one of the things that children love, when they rub a balloon on
their tummy and let go and it sticks, this is static electricity. You can get static shocks from many things, a lot
of people experience these whilst in department stores or whilst pushing a shopping trolley around the supermarket,
and although pretty unharmful, these do at times hurt.
Aircrafts are also known to accumulate electrical, this happens in two ways, the most
substantial accumulation of electricity is from flying. The other type of static happens due to the atmosphere or
weather around it, this is known as precipitation static.
When a thunder and lightening storm occur this is due to a build up of electricity, this is
why they usually occur when it has been hot and humid. Electricity is everywhere and there have been experiments
carried out under huge electricity pylons to prove that you can use the waste electricity from the pylons to power
light bulbs and such like.
More information about static, the atmosphere and atmospheric electricity can be found in
online video library (Online Videothek), these libraries can be found on the internet and are a new and convenient
way to rent a DVD Versand. The customer basically chooses the video or DVD which they want to hire, the
online video shop then sends it out, the customer simply posts it back when they have finished with
it.
